“Dr. Jose Cucalon Calderon is originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador where he did his medical school. He completed his training in Pediatrics at the University of South Alabama. He has worked in Reno, Nevada as a General pediatrician for the University of Nevada , Reno School of Medicine having an active role in preparing and teaching the next generation of physicians. In 2022, developed and launched the Nevada Chapter for the National Hispanic Medical Association. Dr. Cucalon Calderon serves in multiple roles in academia, community impact and is known for being an active advocate for Latinx health in Nevada, helping families by informing them of resources and best practices.”
